ECM is not only the place where God dwells and the holy spirit operates, but it is a place of joy, laughter, and love. We believe in operating in honesty and integrity as we seek God to build you, the church, according to God’s holy word.
Empowerment Christian Ministries was established March 11, 2022 by Pastor Angela and First Man Brother James G. Cunningham. The Church received its 501c3 status in February 2022.

Through obedience and commitment of Gods call to launch a ministry in October 2022, without hesitation, Pastor Angela and First Man Brother James began the necessary steps of becoming a registered Church. Within less than 5 months, a Board of Directors was established in order to file Articles of Incorporation and 501c3 paperwork. In addition, March 4, 2022, a building was secured to hold services, 12821 Old Fort Road #201, Fort Washington, MD, ​

Pastor Angela’s Pastoral Installment and ECMs Church Ordination was held on Friday March 11, 2022, followed by their very first launch service, Friday, March 18, 2022.
